Controller

The controller responsible for data processing on this website within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is: Julius Bruch, Pfeffingerstraße 20, 04277 Leipzig, Germany, email: mail@jbrsolutions.de.

Hosting and server log files

This website is hosted by Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Ave #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA, and delivered through its global server network. When a page is requested, technical data is automatically recorded in log files: IP address, date and time of access, requested address, referrer, browser type and operating system. This processing is necessary to deliver the website securely and reliably (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). Vercel keeps these log files only for a limited time.

A data processing agreement according to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with Vercel. Vercel is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework; the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses apply in addition.

Encryption

The website is delivered exclusively over an encrypted connection (HTTPS/TLS). Data you submit through the website, for example in the contact form, therefore cannot be read by third parties.

Contact form (Web3Forms)

If you use the contact form, your input (name, email address and message) and technical data such as your IP address are transmitted to the form service Web3Forms (https://web3forms.com) and forwarded to me by email. Data may be transferred to the USA in the process. More information: https://web3forms.com/privacy.

The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR where your enquiry relates to a contract, otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. My legitimate interest is to receive and answer enquiries reliably.

Contact by email

If you write to me directly by email, I process your details solely to handle your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) or (f) GDPR.

Analytics (Vercel Web Analytics)

To evaluate visits statistically, I use Vercel Web Analytics provided by Vercel Inc. (address under hosting). It records pages visited, referrer, time of visit as well as country, browser, operating system and device type. Vercel Web Analytics sets no cookies and stores no IP addresses. To count visits, a hash is generated from request data and discarded after 24 hours, so visitors cannot be recognised across days or websites. The script and the measurement data are served via this website’s own domain.

The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. My legitimate interest is to improve the website based on how it is used. The data processing agreement and the safeguards for transfers to the USA described under hosting apply. More information: https://vercel.com/docs/analytics/privacy-policy.

Cookies, fonts and icons

This website sets no cookies and stores no data in your browser. Fonts and icons are served directly from this website; there is no connection to Google Fonts or any other font provider.

External links

The website links to external services such as LinkedIn and Microsoft Learn. Data is only transmitted to the respective provider once you click such a link. Their privacy policy then applies.

Storage period

I store personal data only for as long as necessary for the respective purpose. I delete enquiries once they have been fully handled, unless statutory retention obligations apply, for example under commercial or tax law.

Your rights

You have the right to access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR) and data portability (Art. 20 GDPR). Where processing is based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, you may object to it at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21 GDPR). An informal email to mail@jbrsolutions.de is sufficient.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for me is the Saxon Data Protection and Transparency Commissioner (Sächsische Datenschutz- und Transparenzbeauftragte), Devrientstraße 5, 01067 Dresden, Germany.
